After the conclusion of the #MTGLorwyn story it seems the cool merfolk in the promo art for Omens of Chaos is Alandra, likely the daughter of iconic bulk rare Talrand, Sky Summoner!

Regardless, really interested in whatever in the Jace/Vraska something or other is going on with Tam. Though maybe I'm far off, regardless I love me gorgon cards where I can get them.

With us getting less in-universe story than ever before I think it might not be the time to be shorting us on story chapters please. Lorwyn is a pretty anticipated return, some side-stories at the very least would have been greatly appreciated.

It certainly has left me looking forward to what comes next come Strixhaven (pre-order Omens of Chaos y'all) but I do feel like that story could have really benefited from a few more chapters of breath room.

I feel like he was explicitly intended not to be from Lorwyn when first introduced.

Wild that Grist was first printed like over 4 years ago and we still haven't seen them in any #MTGStory since.

I mean we've had ample opportunity, insects are the new elves, they've been everywhere in recent years!

I liked the Planeswalker's Guide to Lorwyn Eclipsed. Not revolutionary by Planeswalker's Guide standards but a good reintroduction to the plane nonetheless, great work to those who worked on it.

Really looking forward to the full set and hoping the story gets some room to breath.

It's tradition, on the way back from The Best Four Days in Gaming we grab White Castle.

This was the card I used BTW, The Egotistical Velociraptor. These playtest cards of Gavin's have really served me well at Gen Con year after year I'd say.

As a judge I don't get to play sealed very often anymore, so special thanks to @gavinverhey.bsky.social for helping me win my first match during this weekend's Unknown Event at #gencon2025! The video/audio quality isn't great but this was one of my favorite moments of the con!

We ended up finding it as well, not long before the con closed.

I don't know if we have official numbers on this, but based on purely observational data I think Jester is the most popular cosplay choice at Gen Con.

Both this year and last year, I've seen many.

Finally got around to reading @ethanfleischer.bsky.social 's Edge of Eternities Design: Allusions vs Tropes.

Its not a very long article, but I mean it sure does contribute to this idea I've been chewing on that every single person who worked on The Edge is just so incredibly based.

Moreso in the dominion sense, you choose a starting deck that you may upgrade and add to over the course of the game.

The name is Panjandrums. It's a faction-based deckbuilding war game I've been working on over the course of the year.

I'm excited to get some feedback on it at the largest tabletop convention in the world!
