Mostly talk about #nets and #mets #nbasky #lgm Ian eagle stan. Grin Reaper. POW Apparently ignorance is bliss
I donβt really know these kids and Iβll wait and see as I always do w the draft crapshoot, but my gut tells me Marks is screwing this up againβ¦maybe his worst work yet. And thatβs saying something
For years they ignore size, and now shooting? Who needs shooting in the modern nba, right? π #nets
Iβm not into draft analysis and I donβt know who any of these kids areβ¦so Iβll wait and see as always
But based on what I am seeing my gut tells me we are fumbling this, like really bad. Hope Iβm wrong
For years Marks ignored size (so so so stupid), and now itβs like βeh, who needs shooting?β
I have no connection at all to Seattle and still itβs perpetual middle fingers up to OKC and especially one of the biggest scumbags in nba history: clay bennett
Idc how likeable OKC ever becomes, I will never root for someone who cld do that to a fanbase
Damn these sausage makers got beef
20.06.2025 00:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I went back to commiserate (Iβm so pissed off)β¦and yeah itβs as awful as u remember
Nets have assets and space, theyll be fine/goodish eventually. But sustained success that theyve never had almost requires elite drafted talent. Will that literally EVER happen for the nets? So sick of this shit
As always, great work by Steve
A sober look at a player whoβs most elite skill might be dividing opinion
Imo- from all weβve seen, CT is most likely a 6th man on a 1st div team. There are a lot of really dumb GMs out there who love that skill set tho, so I expect he gets a nice offer in RFA
Team owners who purchase a team with the specific intent to wrest it away from the true fans via relocationβ¦.shld be sent to Guantanamo indefinitely
Just the absolute apex scumbags of the sports world that deserve to suffer for the rest of their miserable lives
Maybe you are right. We wonβt know until later season likely when we actually see how they perform
As Mets fans letβs hope youβre not tho haha
I guess what Iβm saying is how can we say itβs an upgrade/downgrade, weβre not even close to opening day, let alone a point where we cld safely say that
Baseball performance is so variable, and we have a FO w a proven track record of projecting bounce back. Last year a perfect example
Possibly? What better options were there that had the same acquisition cost? Doesnt mean process is not good
That there wasnβt high demand is the pointβ¦bringing in lots of low cost options. If they were in demand thats an entirely different strategy (a far more risky and less sustainable one imo)
Not meant to be a βsolid betββ¦thatβs the point. Smart teams realize that due to injury and performance fluctuation in baseball u need to bring in a lot of options to βsee what sticksβ. If they were already established the payroll is not sustainable
Every year there are a bunch of bounce back guys
Donβt really think one thing has anything to do with the other
Shld always be looking to acquire a front end ace and ALSO stockpile cheap depth and lightning in a bottle candidates
I think Stearns track record of player rehab is good so I trust him, and hitting on cheap talent makes dynasties
I lost faith in Claxton putting in the work/effort/attention to detail like 2y ago when he continuously had poor conditioning and didnβt really improve at all year 1-3. It was only his contract year it seemed like he put in the work/effort.
0 interest in building around guys like that. Trade him
How I feel about watching Lakers trades over the last 30+ years
03.02.2025 15:00 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βThe Mets are now viewed as a functional organizationβ
13.01.2025 23:37 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Totally agree with this 100%
If itβs the piece that puts them over the top then fine. But even that Iβm tired of trying to hit a small window perfectly
Not to mention that Giannisβ skill sets are the type that decline rapidly with age & wear and tear
I swear, Marks is a really great GM for certain thingsβ¦..and completely terrible in others
Starting to see rumors that the Nets prime future target that they covet is Giannis and I have to say that I really strongly disagree with that approach
Can the Nets please for the love of god work on acquiring players before they become MVP candidatesβ¦.not 5-10 years after they peaked
Claxtonβs unwillingness to dedicate to prolonged, sustained improvement was super predictable. Iβve been pushing for #Nets to trade him since his sophomore year, because he just doesnt put in the work. Theres a reason his stamina never been right
Extension was a mistake. Go be lazy someplace else
It really sux that it feels like a complete Nets wasteland. NBA overall not so bad tho
01.01.2025 20:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I feel like a Dlo/Cam T backcourt is a pretty decent start for a tank. Offensively redundant and defensively pretty terrible
Maybe they flip Dlo but for what? Iβm surprised, w the level of interest, that weβre settling for so many 2nds
This nets trade is so mehβ¦.a Dlo/Cam Thomas backcourt can def lead a solid tank I guess
Who is Maxwell Lewis?
So many 2nds, really no way to pry a 1st with all the different teams that want DFS?
This chart is insane
Considering the amount of expectations and pressure he had coming inβ¦somehow exceeded
Yesssss!!!!!!!
23.12.2024 14:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A Johnson trade won't fetch the #Nets the haul they got for Bridges--though I'd argue CJ has had at least a good a pre-trade run-up--but it should be substantial nonetheless. Or just keep him for the build-up portion of the rebuild. Link:

If youβre ever wondering how itβs possible for a franchise to be terrible for decades at a time, regardless of the caliber of players/coaches they bring in, this is a perfect example
My god, itβs triggering my Wilpons ptsd
Canβt wait for all the brightest bulbs to complain that Stearns is cheap and doesnβt know what heβs doing, only then to discount that he had anything to do with it when 1 of them pops
We apparently learned nothing from Severino, Manaea, etc
