Just finished the second collected volume of Clive Barker's Books of Blood. I genuinely consider these six volumes to be some of the best horror writing available. The short story format is perfect; the narratives are tight and genuinely creepy. #booksky

I'm really enjoying them. I'd never heard of the brewery before and needed to add some beers onto an order for free delivery and took a chance. I'm pleased I did!

I got dragged to Manchester Christmas markets last Sunday. Looked at all the different food options, ended up coming home only buying two scotch eggs.

🤣🤣 it was payday last Friday so have had a little splurge.

The Turner Prize finalists are currently on show at Cartwright Hall in Bradford. It's free to see (but you need to book your ticket in advance) and well worth a visit.

From Halloween to Christmas, Santa's Hop Sack by Amundsen Brewery. An orange IPA but with a very light mouth feel. Tonight I realised that Amundsen is a Norwegian brewery! With their bold and brash cans, I'd always assumed they were American!

My only Halloween related beer tonight (purely on name and can design) Dark Silhouettes by Azvex Brewing Company. A brewery I've been meaning to try for a while and based on this beer, one I will be seeking out again!

Completed my first playthrough of Deadeus on Indie Collection 1 this afternoon. I saw the end, all on my own on top of the mountain, can't wait to work out how to get the other ones!

I was initially really excited to watch the Metropolis remake. Great director and a strong cast, in the end I went off the reviews and skipped it. However, Metropolis by Verdant is not a beer to skip, it's a dreamy, hazy mouthfeel treat of a beer

Friday Magic by one of my favourite UK breweries Left Handed Giant. This has a right zesty little kick.

I honestly bought this Pressure Drop Brewing beer due to Gameboy style artwork. But stayed for the fluffy New England IPA haze.

All 6.5% and over 😳

Yep lots of signs across the pub asking for people to complete feedback on the proposed development. I'd not been down that way for a while and it's already all change from my last time. Not sure how many glass tower blocks the city needs.
