Great game!
One that I'm surprised that it hasn't been mapped for VGMaps.com: The Video Game Atlas yet. Not a single map!

Unsurprisingly, Canadians get nothing...
10.12.2025 18:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Here's Knuckles The Echidna In Sonic The Hedgehog 2's Chemical Plant demo, because I don't know what to post today.
The Zone title card is red and green, those are Christmas colours, so sure, go with that.
This LEGO set shows various form factors you can play games on besides consoles. And besides consoles, I play games on handhelds, PC, and arcade machines.
A bit of a reach, but I do think it's unfortunate when people ONLY play console games and are blind to what else is available.
But can you go to Delaware?

Getting into my video editing groove:
09.12.2025 00:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've got the BIOS files, that part was easy.
But they say to assign the core, yet I don't see the emulator cores listed on the assign screen.
Then they say to use the Core Downloader to add them, but I can't as I don't have Wi-Fi connectivity, and I can't find the connectivity settings.
Ridiculous.
I updated muOS on my Anbernic RG35XX. But I could swear I used to be able to play Atari 7800, Nintendo PokΓ©mon Mini, Nintendo Virtual Boy, Philips CD-i, Sega Saturn, and I can't now.
Doesn't help that online guides are useless.
Finally an adventure game I've been meaning to play is now off the backlog!
I don't know if I'll play the sequels, but there's also Broken Sword to tackle, the next time I feel a need for a point-and-click adventure.
But then last night (and technically this morning) I blazed through Days 6-10, essentially playing half of the game in one sitting. These days are so much quicker, linear, or engaging/interesting. If I had known it was going to get good I wouldn't have paused it for weeks after Day 5, LOL.
08.12.2025 16:44 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0I love the VGA era of point-and-click adventure games, so it's weird that I never seriously played Gabriel Knight: Sins Of The Fathers until earlier this year. Even so, I was dragging my feet on it, and booted it up sporadically.
08.12.2025 16:44 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0I want to do "One Minute of Music from EVERY Genesis/Game Boy/Nintendo 64 Game", but not all games have had their music ripped.
After all these years, what's the hold-up?
That's why I've only been able to make these for the NES and SNES.
Here's the NES:

"SNES" is trending on X now, so if you haven't checked out my 12-hour video of "One Minute of Music from EVERY SNES Game" (the 720 released in US/Canada), why not?
Add some chiptunes to your Monday while you work! It'll make the day go by faster!

Since Lock On/Free Aim is essential for many bosses, I have to do a FULL STOP on the treadmill in order to properly fight them, which throws off the timing of my morning, if I want to get my full 91 minutes of WalkingPad action in.
I beat Xelios with only 4 Energy left. Sloppy!
My biggest complaint about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is specific to me.
As I only play games while I'm on the treadmill, aiming is difficult.
Walking motion makes my hands move too. Lock On lasts only a second; forget about Free Aim!
It's a shooter and I can't even shoot properly.
I find it weird that when Capcom decided to port Knights Of The Round to the Super NES, they released it in the exact same month that they released the Super NES port of King Of Dragons.
Two similar games by the same publisher, in the same month.
Titles and box art also have similarities. Confusing!
1) flipping the idea of a winter-ready Santa into a summer-ready Santa is incredibly unoriginal, even as a kid I was unimpressed at the cheap laughs
2) people in the Southern Hemisphere experience Christmas in the summer, so it's actually kinda lame to laugh at what is normal in another culture
Bah, humbug!
My weird hot Christmas take is that the trope of surfing/beach Santa is not that funny. I remember as a kid rolling my eyes at parades/shows where Santa would show up with a Hawaiian shirt and/or surfboard while everyone else laughed. Am I a real Scrooge?
I attempted to recreate it using what I have, and this is what I came up with.
I know it's not perfect; I can use Paint Shop Pro, but I am not a Photoshop wizard.
If anyone can recreate a BETTER digital version of the Mega Man 2 NES cartridge label, I would love to see it!
(Not actual gameplay.)
05.12.2025 15:39 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm a couple of hours into Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and I love it.
Myles MacKenzie isn't that bad (Otacon in Metal Gear Solid is worse, IMO), and certainly nowhere near as bad as some people have made him out to be.
I can't imagine writing off a whole game just because of one character.
Jelly or ice mold.
How fitting.
Surprised this hasn't been made earlier...
It's Metroid Prime 4: Beyond release day!
It's farther from the launch of the NES than World War II is... by one day.
Here's my post that some mod on reddit decided was worthy of permanently banning me from r/gaming, for some reason:
I can believe it.
I was immediately reminded of the first episode of The Chef Show, where Jon Favreau has to remind Gwyneth Paltrow that she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Here's a more recent review if you want a better idea of my current quality (even though that was over a year and a half ago... I'll get back on the horse soon, really!)...
This review is of @vgmuseum.bsky.social's NES Endings Compendium: Vol. 1.
