A true role model for all of us
17.02.2025 15:52 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And I kinda liked the interviewing thing
17.02.2025 15:49 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Hell yeah, not easy though, I am trying to love the problem and not the solution
17.02.2025 15:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0๐ Building in public #1 โ My first user interview
I just did my first user interview! Why?
Before coding, I need to know:
1๏ธโฃ Does the problem exist?
2๏ธโฃ Is it worth solving?
๐ Next interview next week! Have you done one? ๐
2024 Christmas Eve will be my first one with my dad since 2012.
I moved to France in 2013 for my studies, and traveling back to Madagascar during the winter holidays has always been too expensive. This year feels extra special. ๐โจ
Can't wait for the time I'll celebrate it with both my parents

12.12.2024 10:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Iโve run out of friends to share this newsletter with ๐ฅฒ
12.12.2024 10:18 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just tried adding newsletter aggregation to my read-it-later app and checked Resend for receiving emails.
Setup seemed easy, until I realised they donโt support receiving emails. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Bruh, guess I need another solution. This is such a bummer!
Totally agree! ๐ I also think itโs a great idea to talk to people around me, especially about their passions. Exploring other domains outside my own interests often sparks fresh ideas!
11.12.2024 12:13 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0One good approach, in this scenario, would be to ask explicitly the AI what you're trying to do like `I want to you to create this database table with those columns of those types` (just an example). But it requires almost as much focus than writing the code yourself.
11.12.2024 12:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Interesting read on the good and bad use cases for AI: www.oneusefulthing.org/p/15-times-t...
I added a quick summary feature to my read-it-later app! But Iโm still figuring out how to craft the perfect prompt to summarize articles on any topic. Suggestions welcome! cosyreader.com

I didnโt know better-auth, I was looking for an auth solution to eventually replace supabase, I will definitely check it
09.12.2024 18:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I love coding, but I have to admitโit can be exhausting. Spending the entire day meticulously crafting code for my 9-to-5 job often leaves me with little mental energy for my side projects.

08.12.2024 18:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yes, itโs less magic that it seems to be, so when using it for using time and then getting bad results, they assume itโs not for them
07.12.2024 16:00 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's some dedication though
07.12.2024 14:54 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0This article resonates with my own day-to-day experience with gen AI. I get better at prompting it just by using it. Overtime, I build the intuition of what works and what doesn't, without the need to specifically learn prompting techniques.

I completely agree, fully AI generated content is like scam for me
06.12.2024 18:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I plan on launching a side business soon while having my 9-5 job. My main reason is to work on whatever projects I want. I love coding, but I also love helping others. If I can help people with my code, and be able to live from it, that would be awesome.
06.12.2024 18:01 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Troy Hunt, the creator of haveibeenpwned.com released a book called Pwned. It's a sort of behind the scenes book. And it's free, awesome.
Another awesome book on my backlog ๐

English is my third language, so it happens (sometimes) that I ask the AI to rephrase what I want to say. And I am amazed at how what I was trying to say could be simplified a lot so it gets so much clearer ๐ (this comment was not AI)
06.12.2024 17:42 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I kinda agree with the beginner mindset but there are really big douchebags when playing football that doesnโt let you enjoy the game, especially when playing without a coach.
I miss the days when I did proper football training with a real coach when I was young
I have a growing interest in using Elixir / Phoenix for my backend instead of Supabase. I really like Ecto.
But I feel that it won't be a good idea as I am not very proficient yet in Elixir compared to Javascript. Maybe I'll give it a shot on another of my future projects.
Boilerplates too ๐

29.11.2024 15:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0As a developer spending so much of my damn time at a desk, going to the gym at least 2 times a week help me so much. Not just for my physical health but I also find myself more stable emotionally.
Go to the gym folks, or do whatever physical activity you like

25.11.2024 18:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Super annoying. Before wrapping up my day, I always stop the instance to avoid any project conflicts the next day.
25.11.2024 15:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Every time I tried to address accessibility issues or build things the right way, it often went unnoticed. I can understand why some developers might feel discouraged and stop caring too.
