Not sure who fits in this venn diagram, but I'm ready Sally Rooney’s new book, and every time I say the title in my head “Intermezzo” is sung like Sabrina Carpenter sing Esspresso.

For tasks requiring sustained attention, allowing workers to control when they take micro-breaks improves performance. Lots of qualifiers (e.g., simple tasks, need more research on metacognition) but aligns well w/self-regulation research.

I use the phrase “play with the cards face-up.” Teach processes with clear examples. Then turn the cards over, but low-stakes to spot the errors. Build up fluency until there is independence.
