Yup! I really believe a lot of written advice on plants is just a "How to kill so you'll buy again" guide. 😂 Give your fern as much direct light as you can and I promise it'll double in size every year. And like I said, it'll droop when it needs water then drown it! ♥️

I sat it on that south facing window ledge, in the height of summer, and didn't water him. And look at him now! Treat them like a fittonia and give them bright light and water when they droop. Fern growers like to lie to us so they can feel special. 😉😂

Let me tell you, for 25 years, every fern I got died in a fortnight. And it's because I followed the advice everyone gives for ferns. They want shade. No direct light. They need high humidity. Don't let them dry out! So a few years ago, when I was given this 4.99 IKEA fern by a work mate (cont.)

Found out last week that Old Man Pecan has hyperthyroidism. He turned 20 last month so he's made it far without medical issues. But with medicine and new high fat food, he's on the mend! Got a few more years left in my old man! Have some pink nose and toes to celebrate. ♥️
