So - youβre calling the Lib Dems, SNP, Greens and Jeremy Corbyn right-wing?

International teacher, migrant worker, loves most things French.
So - youβre calling the Lib Dems, SNP, Greens and Jeremy Corbyn right-wing?
26.09.2025 09:02 β π 22 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Bang on the nose, James. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
12.09.2025 13:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Are you going to be doing the commentary for the BBC coverage?

"Terrorism" though has a specific legal definition and if the police define an investigation as 'terrorist' it has implications for the trial process and sentencing of the accused.
27.05.2025 07:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I liked your view that βthis is China; weβre not interested in your crapβ though Iβd have used stronger wordsβ¦..
05.04.2025 14:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Which, as a history teacher, shows how shamefully subjects like history and economics have been treated by American education.
They donβt want you to question, evaluate and challenge - which is what humanities subjects are all about.
Too much of this tariff discussion centres around an assumption that Trump actually understands what heβs doing.
Itβs becoming increasingly clear that, for one reason or another, he doesnβt.
Sheβs still disqualified even if she does, and the appeal will (I think) not be heard until after the election as the wheels of the French legal system tend to grind slowly.
31.03.2025 12:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I did like the way Macron cut across and corrected Trump when he was spouting nonsense about the EUβs aid to Ukraine.
28.02.2025 10:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβll happily take that compliment about my age, but unfortunately itβs wrong!
06.02.2025 11:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thatβs just a bit like asking people who believe in fairies to run the country.
02.02.2025 02:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yet bizarrely itβs the one manifesto promise they could drop which might actually make them more popular!
02.02.2025 02:02 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Which we did before (the shops just priced it differently.) However we are more restricted in how much we can bring duty paid.
02.02.2025 02:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Problem is thatβs not the answer the Brexit nuts want to hear, nor accept.
01.02.2025 06:28 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Of course they can, by being honest. βWe tried with the greatest goodwill to fix this, but frankly, when those who called for it donβt know how to make it work, it pretty clearly isnβt going to.
Time to stop and get back to where we were.β
Looking at that list, probably a packet of paracetamol, a crate of Irn Bru and a dozen bacon rolls.
15.01.2025 09:45 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This went well.
09.01.2025 13:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Only if you want Newport and Wormit to break out in civil war.
07.01.2025 13:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0He clearly doesnβt understand that he has just made the phrase βsniveling (sic) cretinβ a badge of honour in Britain.
07.01.2025 13:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh - and Fifers in South Fife are the most in favour of keeping Fife whole. Most in NE Fife are probably at best ambivalent, if not outright in favour of separation. Places like Newport and St Andrews have little in common with High Valleyfield and Cowdenbeath.
07.01.2025 13:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One change here - Leuchars, Tayport, Newport and Wormit (the current Taybridgehead ward) should go to St Andrews and East Neuk. they have more links with St Andrews than Cupar, not least that the primary schools all feed to Madras College.
07.01.2025 13:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Pretty sure this explains in part Nick Cleggβs departure, given what heβs openly said about this sort of thing.
07.01.2025 13:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Being a non-American - what is Baja Blast?
02.12.2024 13:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0He also didnβt do anything Trump wouldnβt do. Trumpβs just pissed off Biden got there first.
02.12.2024 13:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pulling the current series would be unfair to the contestants - particularly as they are professionals and this could be integral to their future careers.
The Christmas ones should be relegated to iPlayer though.
Itβs kind of a step on from Wensleydale & cranberry. Not entirely opposed, but not sure if it works.
01.12.2024 14:02 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One thing which is obvious after yesterdayβs vote in the Commons is how little many people understand about how the Commons works.
This wasnβt a vote for assisted dying - it was a vote on the first reading of the Bill. Another 2 in HofC and 3 in HofL before it becomes law. A long way to go yet.
Just hope Neil Parish isnβt there - he might get too excited.
19.11.2024 11:50 β π 23 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think if they look closely, ham and mustard - jambon moutarde - is a classic French sandwiche.
One which truly sends the gammons mad.
Heβs just a trumped-up golf course owner, frankly.
