Saliba signing on for 5 more years is the biggest indicator that he players are still all in on what we're trying to do. Would have his pick of clubs but is choosing to commit his best years here. Full credit to the club but we have to make sure it's not wasted.

I don't think there's a player in the PL in his position that I'd take over him when at his best. Was a significant injury & obvs had a change in his personal life too. But he desperately needs some help in those tight games creatively. We need creativity & game changers which is what Eze brings.

If Eze is the Trossard replacement then that's a big upgrade which adds flair & creativity to the squad. Bonus that he play centrally when we're trying to break teams down. Even tho he wasn't first choice, the only PL game Trossard didn't feature in last season was one he was banned for.

You just know if Mudryk wasn't on a drugs ban he'd be an Arsenal player this summer.

If it was the last 2 weeks of the window and we were sat here with Rodrygo, Eze and Sesko already secured and a Saudi bid came in for Trossard meaning we had some spare cash to get an additional attacker then id be all for it.

Pretty clear that last year the eggs were in Sesko and Willams basket and they failed so we got Sterling + no striker as a last resort.

Madueke links to me sounds like a non starter and just part of this repoted Berta approach to talk to multiple targets at the same time. I'd hope he is option 5 or whatever on our list.

No issue with us working this way as a clear deviation from the Plan A or nothing approach we've previously had.

34 appearances across the PL and CL for a lad who was 17 at the start of last season is very good.

Definitely should've been used off the bench more but I think physicality was a concern at one point and he came off with a few little niggles and cramps indicating the load needed to be managed.
