Your efforts are so so appreciated and worthwhile!
Even though it’s hard to put the experience into words, and it absolutely doesn’t sound silly! Because it truly does set your brushes apart.

This makes so much sense to me because I was blown away by the feel of your oil brushes when I started using them!
I had no idea how to explain it but it was so different to any other brushes I’d ever used.
Two panel cartoon. The first has a sad person holding a sign saying genocide is bad. The second panel has two angry people holding signs. The first says: it’s not real if we say it’s not real. The Second says: how dare you say ‘genocide is bad’

It turns out even with daily irrefutable evidence, we can still have mass & institutional denial of reality.
And oppression of truth.
From our most trusted sources.
Thank you @davemilbo.bsky.social for this great article.

Ooo enjoy!
Here’s my latest using Lisa Glanz’ gouache brushes with extra colour jitter.
Oh and Lisa includes great canvases with her brushes.
Timelapse video description: vibrant coloured digital gouache artwork of a row of 3 old style single story houses, each with an awning. The whole scene neon colours, with the three houses bright pink, two shades of green, and red and orange. The sky is bright blue and purple.

But it doesn’t explain why the media have gone awol.
So I’d like to do what I can to visually bring this issue to the fore, and in turn help pressure both the government & media to pay attention & do something
It’s honestly shocking how little coverage this drought is getting.
Even though it’s obvious even in Melbourne how little rain we’ve had all summer!
I heard someone say the government isn’t wanting to acknowledge there’s a drought because then they’d have to provide assistance.
Sadly makes sense
I’m an artist wanting to raise awareness of the current drought in Vic & SA.
I have 2 qns:
1. Are there any charities supporting these farms/communities I can direct people to?
2. Are any farmers willing to send me some photos I can use as references for my artwork? I’d love to show real places
Like a pig in mud or a dog with bubbles to catch.

Mixed media photograph and digital painting of headshot of women with long dark hair, eyes closed and strap top. There’s a green vine wrapped around her eyes and neck/hair. In the background is abstract dark green bush. Caption: M.E. is being trapped in your body. Everything you do can make you sicker.
Photo in black & white of a woman sitting in bed with doona over her bent knees. She has long hair, and is looking at the camera with a serious expression on her face. Most of the room is dark, with her face & part of the wall to her left lit up by leaf speckled light filtering into her room through the window behind the camera. Beside the bed is a shadowed bedside table with lamp and drink bottle on top. A door is partially visible. Caption: M.E. is being bedbound or housebound for the 25%. Some have not seen the sun in decades.
Blurred double vision image of woman standing in front of a large gum tree. The angle is looking slightly upward with just the shoulders and head visible as well as the top of the tree behind the sky is blue and cloudy. Caption: M.E. is underfunded. Under researched. Under diagnosed. Under treated. Under supported. Misunderstood. Neglected. Dismissed. Harmed.
Digital drawing of a hand holding a phone, with a simple drawing of the earth on the screen. The background is black. Caption: M.E. is experiencing the world through a screen. For many, their only portal to community, connection, knowledge & advocacy.
