A faint greenish Auroral glow in the North east sky from Liverpool UK on 1st January at 2041 GMT.

A faint greenish Auroral glow was recorded in this 4 second exposure from my garden, activity by 8.41pm much reduced when the sky cleared this evening on 1st January after cloud and rain passed through since dusk.

A nice day spent scrutinising Newsham Park in Liverpool. A GBB Gull juvenile on the boating pond was notable, also 134 Fieldfare and 35 Redwing through, a Chiffchaff, 2 RR Parakeet, 2 Nuthatch, 2 Stock Dove, 55 Canada Goose, 76 Herring Gull, 5 Cormorant, Grey Wagtail, 16 Moorhen, 109 Coot...
