WTF is wrong with people? Evil is evil. You can't mitigate it with history.

I think if we're kind, we'd say he's an idealist, blinkered by the work and his achievements (which are considerable) and (I suspect) without the time or motivation to properly engage with the political and societal consequences of AI.

This is the problem when intelligent people make predictions about things they're not expert in. He should stick to what he knows about. Ironic, really, given how AI is so confident about things it knows nothing about.

Because the genocide in Gaza will haunt and shame Israel for a century. The best Israel can hope for now is damage limitation, because eventually the fascists will die off and people will realise how they've been duped.

On TRIP, Katty Kay made a great point about populists playing the victim. When populists can use genuine victimhood for extreme political ends, it becomes very difficult to walk a narrow political path if your a an ally. UK needs to walk that path with Israel and be a critical friend.

I'm sorry, but I don't think this is sufficient. Porn simply isn't regulated properly. Make soft porn easy to get to, responsible and promoting respect. Most children will be satisfied with that. Protect them from harmful violence and rape scenes. Your solution has failed for sex ed for decades.
