As always, the projection is strong.

So awful to see this.

Where are the hard-working Americans who screamed, β€œThey’re stealing our jobs”?

You’re getting your wish. Immigrant workers aren’t showing up, and farm owners are hiring.

Netanyahu is setting up a curse for the ages.

This just keeps getting more incredibly horrific.

Lavish $39 million Ontario mansion comes with stunning fountains and private dock Oakville's waterfront has long been a playground for the astronomically wealthyβ€”think Bridle Path, but with fewer rappers and more bank CEOs and boar…

Remarkable to me that people can have so much money and such boring taste. Maybe this is just staging but even the house lacks character.

Gross and naive IMO.

Well the article suggests they will do that up to a point, on a year-by-year basis, at unaffordable rates, and then stop.

"most strikingly of all, he warned the worsening climate crisis appears to be on track to destroy capitalism."

Is unfortunately not a direct quote from an insurance executive.

Even sadder that the article does not mention that (have seen it talked about elsewhere) and suggests they will just stop offering coverage.

Tragic but typical that one of the few ways to get change that might work is the insurance companies suing the oil companies.

Why insurers worry the world could soon become uninsurable GΓΌnther Thallinger, a board member at Allianz, one of the world's biggest insurers, says the climate crisis could make adaptation economically unviable.

"β€œIf this volume just grows even more, we simply have a societal situation that is not bearable anymore because it is just too much risk that is no longer covered,” Thallinger told CNBC..."

whatever politicians pretend to believe about climate, this is what they know

Trump Burger owner in Texas faces deportation after Ice arrest Roland Beainy from Lebanon, who opened chain of restaurants in support of president, says charges β€˜not true’

This guy seems to have thought that kissing the president's butt would save his own. I think there are some lessons for Canada's PM in this. Trump will inevitably dick us over.

A small but bushy crassula ovata plant with lots of small round green succulent type leaves and a developed trunk, looking somewhat similar to a miniature tree, although I won't call it a bonsai as some folk get cross if you do.

Op-ed of the week for me. I believe manipulative messaging conned us into something we didn't really sign up for.

My lawyer uncle always said β€œright of way is all very well but you never see a car in hospital.”

Plus some Toronto cyclists are almost as dangerous to the unwitting pedestrians as the cars.

Tailored and custom clothing is a wonder. Can’t justify the expense in North America but it was something I enjoyed and could afford when I lived in the Caribbean. Shirts as much as trousers (though I miss the fit of custom trousers more than the style and fun of custom shirts).

Ontario, and Toronto in particular, encourages pedestrians to believe that car drivers can and will always look out for their safety.

And I am talking about more than street protests (which are happening but apparently not getting much mainstream coverage). I am talking about shutting the country down.

But as I say, not my circus...

Putting my mind to what more I can do in Canada as we are falling sway to similar forces.
