Transforming animation with machine learning How we overhauled our animation workflow with machine learning, teaching physically-based AI-agents to walk on their own.

This is actually a rather interesting approach on using machine learning, let alone the irony of it being used by machines to learn to walk. And that was way back in 2021 already: medium.com/embarkstudio...

Where the actual machine learning happend was with the ARC machines themselfes, instead of creating static animations for every potential move, animators instead worked with programmers to train the AI agents to learn their movement constraints, and become able to react to any potential situation.

There was no stealing involved, as Voice actors where hired to speak lines for the "AI" (which techncially isn't even a AI, but the same voice changer systems that are around since the early 2000s but just further refinded) that then is used in the voice option for your proximity voice chat.
