A hawk-like bird brings the Caravaneer's hat back to him under the harsh sunlight in Val Habar. The man holds his wrist out for the bird to land on it. Both characters are from the game Monster Hunter 4.

I felt like my portfolio lacked a recent detailed humanoid illustration, so it was time to change that! This artwork took way too long to make but I'm so proud of the result 🥹 Miss the MH4U days.

Amayensis the red dragon stands in the midst of a misty field of lava flows. The background is stylized and cropped into sections, which the very edges of the character (wings, tail) break beyond the bounds of.

Moira the tuxedo cat unceremoniously sits upon a WIP of the aforementioned artwork, looking down as if to say, "oh my bad, didn't see this there." Except being a cat, we all know this was a very intentional choice on her part.

And for October, another full color traditional piece for @amayensis.bsky.social of the red dragoness herself!

(Moira for scale, she was being very interruptive for the duration of the piece's creation)

Ohh thank you!! I don't know why I always feel like I'm still "new" at experimenting with lighting and backgrounds, until I realize how many illustrations I created in just one year of full-time art XD I hope I'll keep improving, thank you for your kind words ❤️ and DRAGONS
