That's the annoying part about a lot of their merch. That it's only available at the games. I don't understand why they can't put it all in the online shop. I can't get out to the stadium easily. 😔

I don't think it's weird. It's just politics. She knows more than we do. She's using that insider knowledge to position herself into a positive place so when all the 💩 hits the fan she is ahead of the it. It's all theater. It's all politics. She's still the same person she was years ago.

That's true. But it doesn't have to be. And that's the point of Tom's piece. We can't just say... Hey let's get loud and protest but then NOT organize to make sure those protests lead to votes at the ballot box and campaigns to move the message to reality.

I didn't say I'm against protest. I do believe it's necessary and that seeing it sends a message. But you need active follow through to make change in government. And that a protest that doesn't progress the agenda isn't helpful.

My point is, there are a lot of people who DON'T do both. Especially the younger generation. Can't tell you how many times I've heard...voting doesn't matter. It's all rigged. You can do both, but protesting w/o a vote (if you're eligible) to back it up IS performative.

I say this all the time. I've become not a huge fan of protesting over the years because, from my perspective, it's become performative. It's just a bunch of noise. And I've known plenty of ppl who go out and protest but can't find the time to VOTE. Voting is your MOST POWERFUL form of protest.
