As an Iranian, this is what baffles me.

Iran were already at the negotiating table before Israel and the US decided to ‘pre-emptively’ bomb them.

As an Iranian, I completely agree.

The Iranian regime is the oppressor of its people. It should be destroyed. But Trump and Netenyahu couldn't give a single solitary fuck about the people of Iran. They're children running around the streets with grenades, high on sugar.

Diplomacy has now been entirely replaced by a need to flatter the fragile ego of a capricious man baby.

Really looking forward to the green grass after America bombs democracy into Iran as it’s a fool proof plan that’s worked flawlessly elsewhere.

Obama stopped Iranian nuclear development (or seriously slowed it) with an agreement. Trump tore up the deal in 2018 and has made the world more dangerous every moment he has been president since then.

At least we can finally well and truly retire that BS talking point: ‘Trump never started any new wars.’

I was briefed on the intelligence last week.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.

Trump’s desire to save face and Bibi’s desire to stay out of jail were all the reasons behind tonight’s strikes.

Tonight we saw an example of the risks associated with the most dangerous force on earth—the egos of old men. Concentrations of weapons grade self-interest and face-saving led to the destruction inflicted in Iran.

Think about it: The reality is that Netanyahu attacked Iran to derail the US led nuclear deal negotiations. He did what he did to undermine US policy and interests. Not an ally. And Trump is such a cuck he is covering for it because he doesn’t want to appear weak or out of the loop.

So who was it that cancelled the nuclear deal with Iran?

Exactly. Focus on making people’s lives better, not blaming immigrants for everything.

My grandmas were immigrants, my mum & sisters in law are immigrants; my sister & nephews are migrants. My kids study maths, Shakespeare, dance, act & score tries alongside the kids of immigrants. My dad’s life was saved by immigrants. Immigrants have made us richer, wiser, stronger

And why would people who vote for Reform vote for Labour because of this when they can just vote for the full fat version instead? Especially when it’s a party that’s never actually been in charge of anything or held accountable for their rhetoric and polices.

The vast majority of immigration in this country is legal and for skills we need. It’s disheartening to see he couldn’t even be bothered to mention the huge benefits of immigration as well. Many of us are starting to feel less safe in a country that is our home.

It’s such a lazy tactic from a government who clearly has no idea how to actually solve the UK’s problems and immigrants are a convenient scapegoat. What are they going to do when net migration goes down and people’s lives haven’t improved?

I am so disgusted with Starmer’s speech today on immigration and glad I haven’t voted Labour for many years. It’s awful to see him pander to Reform and spread their lies about immigration in this country.

Fantastic analysis of today’s ruling

The fact that Trump’s inauguration is on MLK day is further insult to injury on a day there could have been a much more qualified woman of colour taking office. What a missed opportunity.

On the assisted dying bill, am actually shocked 11 Lib Dem MPs voted against. As a liberal myself it seems an absolute no brainer to back it, subject to very strict guidelines and criteria ofc.
