How do you imagine that conversation going?

She was holding her phone out in front of her and playing videos, even turning the volume on for some of them. It’s not like I was doing detective work to see it.

I’m online enough to know that Kirk and Tate have a huge following but I didn’t expect to see a 30 year old woman’s feed be completely captured by that type of content. As a dad of a young daughter, I can only imagine the type of messaging her male peers are being raised to accept as normal. Yikes.

I sat next to a mom and her young son on a flight yesterday. As her son slept with his head on her lap, I saw her scroll through dozens of videos mourning Charlie Kirk and commentary from various right-wing people, including Andrew Tate. If this is who is raising a generation of boys, we are fucked.

Almost everything from the early 2010s gives me that feeling. It doesn't feel like the nostalgia I get for the 90s or even the early 2000s. It's like a bizarro version of today where society was genuinely hopeful about the future.
