We all should be extra alarmed at DOGE creating a master database of Americans' private information....probably breaking the Privacy Act of 1974

@cnn.com provides a good breakdown about the largest confirmed cuts to the federal workforce: NIH, Dept of Veterans Affairs, Education, HUD, USAID. All of this is still ongoing and we're probably going to get very big numbers from workers opting for the Deferred Resignation Program.

Predict that the final count for the deferred resignation program (DRP) round 2 for federal workers will be quite high. 75K reportedly took DRP round 1. Predict that it will be between 150-225k, doubling or tripling round 1

HHS workers constitute less than 1% of its spending.
The overwhelming majority of the money is spent through Medicare, for the health care of people older than 65, or through Medicaid, for people with low incomes.

1000s of federal workers have been placed on administrative leave and locked out of their offices and computers. Workers on admin leave are being paid but can't do their work.
DOGE, OPM and OMB should testify under oath about how this is "efficient." News flash: it isn't.
@nytimes.com tracker is showing 210 confirmed cuts and 900 planned reductions to CFPB. Contradicts this @nytimes.com article that 200 of these have been rehired. Judge has also blocked mass firings to CFPB. fedworkers.info tracker is leaving this blank

29.03.2025 15:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0According to OPM data (Sept 2024), USAID has 3293 US based employees and 1507 foreign/unspecified employees for a total of 4800 employees. Unless OPM data is incorrect, the 10k number floated by @nytimes.com and other sources is not correct.
I suspect the 10k number includes contractors.
The @nytimes.com released a tracker today. Similarities to the fedworkers.info tracker, especially the 12% employee reduction which I have been tracking. I've been waiting to update the USAID when I can confirm total headcount. i think 10k counts contractors. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
