Yeah, the contemporary graphics don't make any sense for a company trying to sell sun lotion. With the old ad graphics, I get it right away. The core theory behind graphic design is that the art conveys a message that requires no further explanation.

This ad doesn't really say anything about sunscreen or sun tans with these graphics. They would probably be better off just retiring it all altogether.

No, I only use the following and feeds myself.

The 40 hour work week is simply a tradition. It has no real relevance today’s working reality. It used to be much worse. You used to have to work 14 hour days 6 days a week. The creation of the 8 hour work day and weekend can be credited to labor unions and the jewish community in the early 1900’s

Halfling Tales is meant to explore that antidote in a visual and narrative sense.

Yes, this is the community at its best and leaning into the core of naturist philosophy. I wish we did more things like raising money for charity. Respect for others.

Baxandall was also quoted as saying that original naturist philosophy was “The antidote for civilization.”

For me it’s “would you act this way at Disneyland?”
