I heard that some countries in the tropics want to do away with all this temperate seasons nonsense and shift to rainy and dry Olympics

Oh I knew that it wasn’t a novel, sorry my question was poorly worded. I meant to ask how how it compares to his novels

How is it? I love Eco’s novels

Victim-blaming never helps. We’re rightly appalled when it happens in crime such as sexual assault β€” and we should be equally horrified when it happens in road danger. Stop blaming those harmed. Focus on dangerous drivers & build a culture that respects cycling & the wider benefits of active travel.

Bus drivers' union want to see hi-vis jackets become 'mandatory' for cyclists The union said that the issue has grown due to a β€˜proliferation’ of electric vehicles.

We firmly oppose this measure, as existing evidence indicates that such laws do not, in fact, protect people who cycle.

The union should be calling for better active transport infrastructure instead of deflecting responsibility to the most vulnerable people on the roads.

Wow thanks for the explainer, good to know after all this time. It was a great place to play, though I now also see our Roman vs Celts mini reenactments were historically inaccurate as Durotriges had already left by the Roman invasion

I spent a lot of time playing on those ramparts as a kid, so it’s amazing to see it like this. I don’t remember ever hearing it called Lydsbury Rings before though, I only knew it as Hod Hill

All people at my work place do is complain about the parking, it's relentless. But suggest they use the free bus, or cycle, or walk and it's instantly shouted down as a stupid suggestion which will never fix the issue. I know people who can see the site from their house, and still drive.

I also realised that an underfed bear wouldn’t be so baoty either. So it’s only grizzlies that don’t have much reason to bother chasing - that wouldn’t be able to anyway

So is underwater the only place a bear won’t be able to follow?

Just what I was thinking. Maybe it was dipped in some solution to stop the browning?

Learning about religions is easily encompassed in a secular system. Just - as you say - without any bias

A completely secular education system will be worth the cost

Makes sense as it’s a more stupid explanation, but is it the stupidest?

Its annoying solved problems don’t easily cross international borders. There was already ample evidence from all the other cities in the world to successfully do this

Hahahahaha aahahahahaha so perfectly captured the corporate sheen of bullshit, they could do them for almost all the sponsors in cycling. Have you seen this @inrng.com

So you hold the wad of cash with the three middle fingers on one side and the thumb and middle finger on the other, then you slide over the corners of the notes with your thumb and feed them into your thumb and forefinger on your other hand counting as you go. The slide helps avoid counting doubles
