I want to make a big thread about the Frankenstein discourse but it's going to devolve into a ramble about the nature of literature and media literacy and the state of it now and it's just not even about Frankenstein being fuckable anymore. So idk. I'm just tired.

Yeah, I cried a little

like specifically I had a lot of cool moots on twitter that I've completely lost track of now, and it feels like everyone else got in on bluesky way before me so now it feels a bit like walking into the party after everythings wound down. And hunting down said moots feels exhausting

I'm going to try be more active on here in the coming days, because I kind of miss the ttrpg community that I used to have before twitter went to shit. Since starting this degree and getting sick I've gotten really isolated from everything design and actual play, and I wanna fix that 😅 lets chat!

I just logged onto bluesky for the first time in like months lol, and thank you for your kind words (and for the lovely thread of listening adventures!). It's been a long hard ride but I'm in such a better place now in terms of mental and physical health. And, halfway done with this degree :P

If the US's ability to continue to fund a genocidal state is any indication, I don't think that violating the utopian pillars of a single clone is enough for Union to pursue action against HA, so long as HA continues to maintain their supplying of military supplies.

Another side note here: Union, HA and the other corpros and affiliated diasporans are all jockeying for power in the long rim, some more blatantly than others. And that is at the heart of Matcha's storyline with HA and something that will be expanded on more in the future.

Mechs are cool

more clear in season 3. Again, maybe the answers I have will not be satisfying, or conflict with official Lancer lore. Personally I use the lore as a font of inspiration rather than a strict setting guide--and that's aligned with the creators values and how they talk about the game as well. 4/4

So is Union really going to intervene on the behalf of one clone when they don't really have a foothold in the Long Rim? The Long Rim is extremely far from Cradle and most Union planets (in BYOMverse), which allows HA more freedom to be shady. There are also things going on that will become 3/4

Whether the answers I have in mind to those questions will be satisfying to everyone, only time will tell. I'll also note that I take liberties with Lancer lore, including the relationship between HA and Union. This story is also taking place outside of union jurisdiction-- 2/4

Yeah it's not explained yet, but I've been hinting at it for a while. I think that yeah, you're totally right, something is fishy! Why would HA consider Matcha to be IP instead of a person? Why do they think they can get away with that? Why do they care what some runaway clone does? 1/?
