This made me count my sorted music folders: I estimate I have music from 155 games I've played and 141 games I've never played.

(Mind, I listen to more total songs from e.g. Undertale & Bastion than from Trip World or Transiruby, but it's definitely fun to have some random-ass pulls on hand.)

It was fun kinda flipping this script with the design of Walk the Plank: it was more fun with more people playing, so rather than slog it out with two people left, the *standard* situation is that two players tie for the victory. (But the round still finishes, so it's _possible_ to have a solo win.)

Yeah anything in this realm always seems like this weird, completely unhelpful kind of petty. I've even had a streamer key fully revoked for a game I *had covered*; just breeds ill-will for no reason and ensures I won't ever stream their games again??

I have played 86 different incremental/idle/clicker games, and Orb of Creation is the only one I actually like and recommend.

I enjoy both roguelikes and minesweeperlikes, but the combination in DemonCrawl didn't work for me at all.

Maybe it'd try to do the thing where a sprite is running in place while the background biome keeps shifting, but instead of a sprite it's just more logos

Restricting a service based on criteria of who is deemed 'appropriate'. The term is most commonly used in the context of welfare programs requiring all sorts of excessive hoops to go thru to qualify.

Having some stakes heightens things a bit too — I definitely found both Subnautica and Minecraft to have scarier moments than anything Amnesia: The Dark Descent threw at me, for example.

Child of Light's OST is lovely, but the soundtrack has been copyright flagged on Twitch and/or YouTube for many years, which may contribute to its lower use.

Finally, there's the category of "someone who *doesn't* own this song is flagging it", which I usually get on Twitch rather than YouTube. This is most commonly seen with like, a rapper using a Minecraft song as a backing beat or similar. Also seen it with Dearly Beloved (Kingdom Hearts) and others.

Some (not all) tracks from these will also be flagged: FF6, FF7, FF10, Genshin Impact, Celeste, Octopath Traveler, Wild Arms. There's also Undertale/Deltarune where Toby Fox has publicly stated it's *supposed* to be allowed, but distributor Materia Collective still flags the popular songs anyway 🙃

It's usually not 'strikes' any more, but instead they flag copyright hits to require ads + they take ad revenue. Game music is _often_ allowed (or simply forgotten about) as Jacob said, but tons of stuff still gets flagged on YouTube and/or Twitch:

From your chart I think I can recommend Tametsi to you btw: Advanced minesweeper with all hand-crafted levels. Not programmy the way Bombe is, but lots of clever ways to expand on the basic minesweeper logic. (And has an option for mine numbers to count down which I *loved* once I got used to it.)

Indeed. Pretty much every game where I know anything about the code, that code is a mess. IIRC, VVVVVV's core game loop is a massive switch statement!

Something jank that works and gets released is better than something pretty that never does.

Being a decade-long roguelike+variety streamer has definitely distorted mine in a few ways:

Undertale Snowman dialog: "Did you just... consume the part of me I had given you? In front of my very eyes!?"

The mouse's striping almost gives her a cheshire grin.

Sideways path that may not be worth pursuing, but maybe the person that made this: hunternet93.github.io/OneShot-Dial... knows a decent way to export RPGMaker text? (I can't imagine they did _too_ much of this manually, but I don't know any specifics myself beyond OneShot being an RPGMaker game.)
