Occasionally, box art of Mario-related games will be misleading about the number of levels a game has. I list three examples in ascending order of "fraudulence", alongside equivalent statements if these were real estate ads.

However, there is a second, invisible city on another island.
Unless defined otherwise, most surfaces in 3D video games are only visible from the front (the "front" being the direction the surface normal, a vector showing the facing direction of the polygon, is pointing to). The surface normals of the city have been, likely mistakenly, defined to point in the opposite direction to the main track, so that the city appears invisible from the front and only visible from the back.

This is an overlay I drew for the picture of me as captain duck. I enjoy doing these every now and then as a sort of coloring book style activity with a color brush over, and exercise in the use of slight color variation for shading/highlighting rather than using actual lines.
