It took me a while to mentally sort out the difference between design & development in card games. Mastodon delivers these to me better than BlueSky - on Mastodon, the hashtag is simply in my main feed. (But IMHO Mastodon gets lower engagement, I'm not suggesting you switch).

From a consumer perspective, I quite enjoy being reminded every ~2 weeks or so of games I'm looking forward to or might want to wishlist. I purposefully follow those tags (on Mastodon). I do expect new images each time and it works better if the game looks cool or pretty!

Looking at the number 1s, I kinda miss the roundness of the old style, but for the higher numbers I can definitely see it's easier to read. I was switching to reading the edges of the cards for the old 2, 5-7.

To be honest, I kinda understand. They likely buy from middle people & middle people have a lot of reasons to be secretive (you may reject the goods if you know where it's from or you might try to cut them out). Even if you can peel back 1 layer, you've then got the next middle person to deal with

I've been playing #SteamNextFest demos. There were at least 2 that I would have dismissed, visually, as AI slop but they had a publisher I trust, so I gave them a chance. The publisher's role may evolve into a type of certifier of authenticity
