I don't know which particular incident you're referring to.
But I think they also do this to make the point that some people (often: women) are lesser and disposable

13.11.2025 07:13 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It took me a while to mentally sort out the difference between design & development in card games. I came in assuming design has the greatest influence on the finished product, as it's the prized position in a lot of physical product industries, e.g. the Eameses; William Morris; Jony Ive are famous

12.11.2025 04:32 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Mastodon delivers these to me better than BlueSky - on Mastodon, the hashtag is simply in my main feed. (But IMHO Mastodon gets lower engagement, I'm not suggesting you switch).
Games I am anticipating the most don't publish every week, no. Unless they're about to Kickstarter, then they pick up pace
yeah, but I don't think everyone participates every week?
09.11.2025 07:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0From a consumer perspective, I quite enjoy being reminded every ~2 weeks or so of games I'm looking forward to or might want to wishlist. I purposefully follow those tags (on Mastodon). I do expect new images each time and it works better if the game looks cool or pretty!
09.11.2025 07:01 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Looking at the number 1s, I kinda miss the roundness of the old style, but for the higher numbers I can definitely see it's easier to read. I was switching to reading the edges of the cards for the old 2, 5-7.
I like the coloured sauce on the new cards 4, 5 & up and that it matches the border colour
Yup, boredom. So do I.

He's surrounded by extremist Christians & knows he appeals to Christian Zionist voters so he needs to at least pay lip service to their ideas

But I didn't want vigilantes - from my point of view they are just as scary as the people they were supposedly protecting against

There were 5 other demos I played, but I uninstalled them after 10 minutes' play - they weren't for me
Oh! The video games played in October all begin with 'B':
The Biggleboss INCident; Blackwell Unbound; The Blackwell Convergeance; The Blackwell Deception; Backpack Battles.
Yep, #pointandclick
I've started the last in the Blackwell series - I'm not finished yet. I'm enjoying seeing how they develop

And another win for the day: the Aust government has ruled out changing copyright laws to allow companies to train AI for free: www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10...

25.10.2025 00:08 — 👍 8 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 0I agree with what Commissioner Anna Cody says: “There is a rise in that more conservative agenda, and it has used the anti-trans ideology to drive that. I am concerned, both for all women and also for the trans community.”
Anti-trans rhetoric harms ALL women. #auspol
To be honest, I kinda understand. They likely buy from middle people & middle people have a lot of reasons to be secretive (you may reject the goods if you know where it's from or you might try to cut them out). Even if you can peel back 1 layer, you've then got the next middle person to deal with

Im putting together a doc with a buncha tools, thoughts + resources in regards to being a freelancer in video games.
What are your Qs? What did you wish people would talk about more? Im focusing a lot on financial realities.
RTs appreciated!
I've been playing #SteamNextFest demos. There were at least 2 that I would have dismissed, visually, as AI slop but they had a publisher I trust, so I gave them a chance. The publisher's role may evolve into a type of certifier of authenticity

The nazis themselves were not some clever masterminds where everything they did went perfect. They were also comical idiots who did ridiculous things, like invading Russia in the winter.
They gained power because the opposition couldn’t understand that the fascists were not rational agents.
Thank you!
