The one thing I have not missed about warm weather is the frequent game of "Is it allergies or am I getting sick?" One week of temps in the 50's and I feel like I want to peel my face off and power wash all the nooks and crannies in my head.

So these are things that we really need to take seriously.”

At the same event, Rep. Hillary Scholten spoke of a man "being kept in a freezing room where he couldn’t feel his toes."

It reminds me of when my dad died after 2 years with terminal cancer. It gets so that there's a part of your brain always focused on them, even if you're not aware of it. And when they're gone there's grief, and a lot of relief, and a little guilt over that relief.
