I can't find the poem someone on here wrote about the loon and the eagle a week or whenever ago.

I can think of no better metaphor for what's happening in Minnesota right now than a loon stabbing a bald eagle through with their beak because the bald eagle tried to eat the loons' chicks for lunch.

I got sidetracked and hadn't been checking in but somebody adopted Stromboli! Hooray! (Not that I was posting this guy all over for a week or so there and got invested or anything.)

I mean, I try to usually keep it polite since the staffers have to listen to the messages but saying you feel they've failed you and should resign seems reasonable to me.

Don't have it in me to call tonight but I'll remind you all it is a great time to call if you're phone shy or awkward. Don't need to interact with humans, can just leave a message on their machines/voice mail.

Also I am totally not usually much for sweets nor prone to eating my feelings but things are dire enough I'm brownie-obsessed. (Was just looking at what brownies Whole Foods has . . . )

I honestly got a bit teary.

I think part of why today felt so crappy was because of the reporting that things had improved here when it seemed like things escalated. (Even though I didn't even see a lot of that reporting.)

I dunno. So many highs and lows. Proud AF of most Minnesotans.
