I’m just coming to the end of 4 and a bit years as parent governor and more recently Vice Chair at J’s school. We work really well as a board because of the different perspectives and have also seen staff governors as vital. It can be challenging but I’ve found it rewarding.

I’m travelling by car rather than train this weekend … amazing how big the to take pile has suddenly got!

I use Tax Management for Clergy and they are fab.

Delighted that the first people on stage at Wholehearted (a Methodist Church event) were the safeguarding leads and the room welcomed them with a cheer. So important that safeguarding is front and central.

Waiting for the first train of the day to London for a meeting of the Connexional Council.

Thanks for sharing @rachelp1.bsky.social and @lizcrumlish.bsky.social such an important article and so lovely to hear the bold step Methodism took with supervision spoken of so highly.

I’d encourage all in ministry in @churchofengland.org and beyond to hear Ruth’s cry for supervision for all. Maybe Methodism sharing this with our Anglican colleagues is a deep expression of the Covenant between our denominations.

An excellent article from Ruth Layzell about Pastoral Supervision and the many blessings and benefits it is to those of us who minister in @methodist.org.uk Being supervised, offering supervision and supporting those training as supervisors is now such a rich part of my ministry.
