Economists warn Trump's research cuts could have dire consequences for GDP
President Trump has proposed slashing federal scientific funding. Economists say the long-term consequences could be dire.

Federal R&D has shown to provide a return on investment that eventually leads to economic growth. Yet, the PBR proposes steep cuts. AAAS CEO Sudip Parikh told @NPR.org these proposals "will slash science at every university and laboratory in the U.S."

βIntellectual diversityβ is such a funny way to frame it. Itβs just DEI for white, cis, straight, middle-class+, able-bodied, neurotypical men (and some women). Itβs about making sure these people can succeed regardless of how intelligent or qualified. Not a new thought, but also not merit-based.
