Wow I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Truly one of the greatest comic runs I've ever read. Beautiful introspection and character defining action. Cannot wait to see James Gunn adapt this into the Supergirl movie. โญโญโญโญโญ

Realising I'm a fan of jazz rock fusion...

An unbelievable and unforgettable night. Black Sabbath mean more to me than other band so seeing the original line up back together has been my dream for years. This was that and so much more. No gig will ever top this. And there will never again be another Ozzy Osbourne. ๐Ÿฆ‡

Tom Morello did a spectacular job directing the event and Sharon must be commended in organising it. The revolving stage was also genius and something I hope to see employed elsewhere. The excitement too of seeing Ozzy's throne rise!

Jack Black's video on the other hand went down a storm. Laughs all round and thoroughly entertaining. I'm also concerned for Jason Momoa's safety as he went into the moshpit during Pantera's set and was never seen again...

Marilyn Manson's video message also got booed, and many were very disappointed Jonathan Davis sent a video message rather than his scheduled appearance. Fred Durst was also a no show. I wonder why they couldn't make it in the end...

Idk what it was like on the livestream, but the boos for David Draiman were deafening. Glad to know metal fans are on the right side of history in shunning him. He was visibly pissed off. The less said about the Israel flag displayed through Metallica's set the better too.

Acts which I thought flagged slightly were Gojira, Tool, and Slayer. People around me weren't so familiar with the Slayer songs, didn't seem to get Tool, and Gojira appeared nervous and unfamiliar with the material. They weren't bad at all, but I felt a dip in engagement levels.

Best covers of the night for me were Changes, Bark At The Moon, Halestorm's Perry Mason*, Lamb of God's Children of the Grave, and GNR's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. *Halestorm especially completely bodied their song and made it their own. I need a studio cover!

Papa V Perpetua easily could have done more than just one song. Bark At The Moon was so perfectly chosen. He had such vigour on the stage and grabbed the attention of people less familiar with Ghost. Would love to know what his original choice songs were.

I'm usually irritated by Yungblud but his rendition of Changes was beautiful. Everyone singing along gave me chills. I thought his voice sounded brilliant and he commanded the stage. He really brought out the emotional resonance in the song.

Steven Tyler's performance of Walk This Way and Whole Lotta Love got the biggest reaction of the guest acts. Brought the house down. Ronnie Wood's guest feature was genuinely mind blowing too. Real rock royalty. I was in awe.

Other bands that stole the show for me were Guns N Roses, Anthrax, and Alice in Chains. Phenomenal. Such energy and passion for what they were doing. GNR also brought out some real deep cut Sabbath covers which I thought sounded great. The sing-along for AIC was so so loud.

I've seen Sabbath before (sans Bill Ward), but this was a truly pinch myself moment. THE most influential band on mine and many others' lives. The original line up has been my dream gig for years, finally brought to fruition.

Bill Ward's welcome return to the original Black Sabbath was just incredible. His drumming style was fascinating to watch - freestyling rather than playing exactly as on the record. I really see what people mean when they say he's more of a jazz drummer than a rock drummer.

Ozzy's performance of Mama I'm Coming Home was one of the most emotional things I've ever witnessed. Not a dry eye in the house. His voice crackled as he got choked up and he was evidently very moved.

Black Sabbath were phenomenal. They only played 4 songs but easily could have done more. They were all clearly enjoying it and had boundless energy. Ozzy was not restricted by his throne whatsoever and still sounded as good as he ever has. Goosebumps.

The atmosphere was electric before even entering the stadium. There was just a vibe throughout Birmingham of community and excitement for this one thing. I also overheard many foreign accents from people who had flown in especially for it - I chatted to a couple from New York!

The biggest and best gig I have ever and will ever go to. No rock or metal gig will ever come close to being as stacked as this line up was. Most of those bands were enough to headline the bill but it just kept going. The biggest concentration of legends there may ever be.

A *brilliant* start to the 13th Doctor's adventures on @bigfinish.bsky.social. Her boundless energy brings a breath of fresh air to audio. The story is lots of fun (I always love vampires in Doctor Who) and the character work shines. Intrigued by who The Tourist is, and can't wait for more!

I loved the previous album so much, I thought it would be too tough to beat but MAD! has completely eclipsed it. Will be hard to top this for album of the year!
