Every time I hear the argument “mental illness” when it comes to gun violence I think, “Yes, there are a lot of mentally ill people in society which is why we should have much stricter gun control measures in place.”

“awful people don’t deserve to be killed, but they don’t deserve to be praised, either” is apparently a thought too complex for the pundit mind

Unfortunately, that’s not true of partisan political commentators & their fans. But it’s just as much of a circus. Unfortunately it affects real peoples’ daily lives to no perceivable benefit.
