Unlike almost any other newsrooms in the U.S., IFCN-certified fact checkers are audited for political neutrality, transparency, accountability.
“Community Notes” won’t meet any of those standards.

The vast majority of the errors in the fact checking program were Facebook's own: to label fast-spreading falsehoods, Meta used poorly-engineered bots instead of humans. Cheap, but they falsely tagged a ton of content. Not our monkeys, not our circus.

He adopted the “bias” complaints of snowflakes outraged we pointed out that, for instance, Dinesh D'Souza had no facts to support the "Ballot Mules" claim, and that there was no technical mechanism by which voting machines were hacked in 2020…

Zuckerberg, in my opinion, defamed hundreds of good journalists in his announcement that he has cancelled Meta's fact checking program.
