For me, it's gotta be Arcanum. I can't think of any other that quite scratched that itch, though the original Baldur's Gate and Fallout came close!

Made me realize how lucky I am to have such a tight knit pod of friends to play Magic w/ on a regular basis.

At one point, we stopped to make sure we were mutuals on Twitter, and I saw their face change the moment they saw how many (or how few) followers I had.

They ended the convo soon after.
