This is true.

It’s not like none of us keep reminding them! The potential for transformational change in SEND-terms if they invested & got Early Years (& from birth care) right is huge. So frustrating that it appears such a peripheral part of their plans.

Major 'leaks' of huge changes for schools - not fleshed out enough to provide any certainty or enable practical thought - during half term is really, really poor.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I remember seeing Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981 - mate & I were 13 - & having our minds blown by the whole thing as it was so different.

Crystal Skulls was like watching someone set fire to Harrison Ford. I was fuming.

I’m Welsh.
I’m in no way confident.
At all.

I’d be incredibly surprised if we got anywhere near winning.

I’m hoping we’re a bit better than we were against France, which was slightly better than we were against England.

I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

Also, the format, travel & sheer volume of these international matches is just ridiculous.
I believe this will be the tournament that kills the international rugby goose that lays the golden eggs.

If you want to show kids how to use clever footwork, not just physicality, to make ground in tight spaces, Aaron Wainwright is a fantastic example. Almost always gets past the first man with his quick feet.

Fears!?

Goodness me! This is lived reality.

Capacity has been hollowed out for years. EP waiting lists are months long, thresholds keep rising & schools are absorbing what systems no longer hold.

This isn’t a boogeyman rumour in communities – it’s structural strain, known up & down the land.

I guess part of my point is, I get frustrated when Tomos cops so much criticism, as if he’s not following coaching tactics.

16.02.2026 16:48 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh I appreciate that, but his box kicking is not always spot on, & our high ball reception can be generously described as very inconsistent.

16.02.2026 16:47 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Given we seem committed to this type of kicking attack, it seems somewhat pointless sticking with Tomos at 9. It’s not his most consistent skill & we seem to be wasting pretty much everything else his skill set can offer.

This is a metaphor for Welsh rugby right now.

I think there was a bit more fight to stay on their feet today from Wales, but it wasn’t to offload, it was just to gain a couple of yards more. There were maybe two occasions where a runner offered themselves to a tackled ball carrier but it’s just not in the Welsh psyche to offload at present.

It looked like he suddenly remembered as the ball dropped to his right foot, that he is, in fact, left footed…

Absolute howler from Beard. 7-19 half time would’ve been miraculous after that first quarter.
He’s such a massive bloke, & yet never seems to utilise his size.

Deserved more.
A few instances of inaccuracy but that shouldn’t take away from some real quality in much of the game.

It doesn’t paint a great picture to kids watching either. You could commit two yellow card offences, but it’s ok as your side can bring on a replacement after 20 mins. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I couldn’t believe that was 20 min red??
In some matches that’ll definitely incentivise giving away a couple of yellows.

Scotland scoring some great tries & creating brilliant attacking shapes. Why do I still think England will win this…?
