Congratulations, Dad! I hope to have a similar success with my big guy when he is old enough.

I have a similar problem regularly. When I opened my desk drawer in front of a coworker years ago, she said I had enough food for an entire preschool I'm there.

(And "preschool" is about right, in terms of WHAT foods I keep on hand.)

Harley has grown beautifully in the past 30 years since she was created.

Deadpool has grown too, though it isn't a direction I'm as happy with.

My child went to school in costume.

I could only find one of my three polycarbonate lightsabers, and it won't turn on. I usually carry a lightsaber so my children are brightly illuminated. I guess I need to buy a cheap lightsaber this year, and buy another good one for next year.

I usually stick to cruciform swords on my pumpkins, but this year I decided to do a mortuary-hilted broadsword. It didn't come out well and looks like my jack-o-lantern is of a sword and axe instead. Sigh.

It's noon and I've already gotten 6 times as many steps as I got all day yesterday. I'm not running a 5k today, but I should be strong enough to take my kids trick-or-treating.

Ugh. I've got a nasty headcold. I've gotten fewer than 500 steps today, but I'm huffing and puffing like I just ran a 10k. I've been making myself get up and walk to a different chair, couch, or bed every few hours.

I slept 4 extra hours this morning, but the quality of my sleep is poor.

It's "decades" day at work. Most of my coworkers are dressed as the 1960s or the 1990s. I'm dressed as the 1740s, when kilts came back into fashion in Scotland, after having been outlawed for a while.

Her mother's argument, as best I can tell, is that Brianna would have had a better life *before* being killed. I respect that argument.

Now that I've read the wikipedia article about her, she would almost certainly have been one of the people who carried around the magnet you can use to open those pouches and get her phone out. You're right: it probably wouldn't have helped her.

I'm not sure who Brianna is.
I am not claiming that removing phones "solves" anything, but it does reduce harm.
It also allows students to spend more time and energy on their education, rather than being distracted by their phones during

What problem would we solve by keeping them in school?

Bullying does occur in real life. It's how our generation were bullied when we were in school. But cyberbullying is a force multiplier for the psychological impact of bullying, just like body armor or a weapon is a force multiplier for physical violence. Reducing it reduces cyberbullying.

Cell phones are one thing that bans actually work, because you can't text someone who doesn't also have a phone. If we reduce the number of people who are texting during school, it makes texting less appealing. That makes my job easier and reduces the occurrence of cyberbullying.

I dreamt that, during an eclipse, a rift opened up in reality, spewing red mist. The rift cut across the road in front of a hotel where I took a nap with my family. I looked out the window, watching it widen.

I set an alarm when I put my laundry in the washer. I still sometimes silence the alarm without moving the laundry, but it increases the chance I will remember to move it.

When selecting a babysitter, it's okay to cyberstalk them, right? To look really hard for red flags? That's just due diligence when you're trusting someone with your child for 4 hours, right?

I wish it was easier to find what your exes say about you. That's the kind of information I'm looking for.

This is my third attempt in a week to draw my son's face. The first two came out awful, but this one isn't bad. It doesn't look like him, but at least he doesn't look like an orc.

Password managers like LastPass and BitWarden are good at generating secure passwords and will remember them for you.

Change your passwords regularly, at least once per year. The most secure password is only a matter of time to crack for a dedicated hacker with enough processing power.
