Disabled people exist in a rigged, ableist system where we have to “ask” nondisabled people for access, accommodation, rights and equity.

I’d like to live in a current world where these two things can coexist:

Women’s media/interests/hobbies are elevated & its power does not have to be “proven” over & over again

AND

We actually fucking protect each other when relishing in what gives us joy

The whole “women are saving the economy” thing (e.g. Taylor Swift tour, Barbie movie) doesn’t quite hit for me when women are the ones becoming disproportionately sicker as a result of mass infection/mass disablement policies in service of capitalism.
