Ever since I got this scope I wanted to do a close up on M31. Unfortunately ran out of time to add Oiii and had to throw out a lot of frames due to bad seeing. In total 14 hrs on Ha and 1 hour on each RGB.

My recent take on NGC281 the Pacman Nebula. This emission nebula is located ~9500 light years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. Taken over the course of a night from my backyard (awhile ago).

Space is really cool! I use filters that isolate specific wavelengths of light emitted by the nebulae which are captured by my camera and produce a black and white image. Using three different filters lets me allow one to each red, green, and blue - creating the color image here.

My last wide field image for the time being is IC405 and IC410 in SHO (as well as quite a few other open star clusters and nebulae). Located ~1,500 and ~12,400 light-years away in the constellation Auriga, this is a young star forming region.

Unfortunately it looks like the comet may already be breaking apart and is only visible in the southern hemisphere.
