It was always a good idea. Breaches happen all the time. This is an especially good time bc of this large breach.

Its about what can be done with your info once someone has it - opening credit and incurring debt in your name. This prevents that. No credit report can be pulled to open credit/loan/debt. Your credit reports are frozen/inaccessible to creditors.

I have kept my credit frozen for years and have opened new bank accounts - no problem. Its easy to go online and temporarily unfreeze if you need to apply for a new credit card or a loan. Its instant.

Right. They r OUR kids and they grow up 2 become our neighbors and leaders. Its an investment we all make 2 not live in a hellscape. People need 2 accept that no investment guarantees 100% ROI. Some failure/waste/abuse exists in all endeavors. We invest anyway bc the alternative is literally hell.

That “about” 6% number is so deceptive. A lot of people do 1, 2 or 3 day telework, and its worded so it could include jobs that would require you be away from a desk. Also - didn’t we learn from covid: WFH doesn’t reduce productivity? What does the actual data say? This is why Unions are necessary.

It isnt even only that. Many people are connected to support groups, school groups, sports teams, etc…that they can only access through these platforms. It would require a LOT of unwinding to ditch/move. Same for Insta. Some peoples whole business model is dependent on exposure on these apps.

Everyone has a city and/or county council that has public mtgs. Also, school boards have open mtgs. Google your county/city/school district. On their website you will find info about mtgs - or a number to call. Go to one. Often virtual is an option. Its a first step.

You are a member of a community. What we are (or aren’t) teaching/doing in schools impacts everyone. Kids become adults/coworkers/neighbors/community leaders. Public education is an investment we make in children as a community, for the benefit of civil society. You absolutely have a stake in that.

Is that real?! Is there NO recognition of an entire other half of the country that doing that would ENRAGE?!
