Interesting. I’ve heard hallucination rates are on the higher side and that it doesn’t compare all that well to other open models.

My feed’s been completely taken over by Spider-Man the past few days, so I haven’t seen much about OpenAI’s new open source models yet. What’s the sentiment so far? #ai #openai

Black-and-white photo of Ozzy Osbourne smiling broadly with his arms reaching toward the camera. He wears round sunglasses, a black shirt with a subtle glittery texture, and several chunky rings and bracelets. Two large chain necklaces hang from his neck, one with a cross and another with a combined cross and circle symbol. The background is plain white.

Rest in peace #Ozzy, the prince of fuckin’ darkness.

Didn‘t really use Twitter that much anymore, even before the takeover. Mastodon and Threads kinda revived that for me. Now I‘m spread between more of the same and hate it because I can‘t decide. Mastodon for the peer group, Bluesky for the protocol, Threads for the user experience…

For me it really depends on the topic sometimes, but usually I get way more feedback on Threads. Guess their algorithm pushing posts out to everyone actually helps making it feel more lively somehow. On the other hand, it really encourages rage bait and stuff.

FAQ - AT Protocol Frequently Asked Questions about AT Protocol.

Have a look at the “Why not use ActivityPub?” section in the ATProto FAQs. I think they make some compelling points. atproto.com/guides/faq#w...

Using Kirby despite the flat-file approach, not because of it. They already started working on abstraction under the hood, so I think alternative storage options might be possible in the future. Would definitely make it more scalable and better suited for certain environments.

Jensen Huang just sold 100K shares, but no red flags here. This was part of a pre-planned schedule set months ago, a common way for execs to sell stock without acting on insider info. NVIDIA’s outlook remains strong. #NVIDIA #AI #stocks

Headlines are claiming there’s been a “16 billion password” data breach, but it’s not a new hack. It’s a massive compilation of old leaks and data from malware. The advice stays the same, though: strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and start using passkeys wherever you can.

A caricature-style illustration of the character Dark Helmet from the movie Spaceballs. The figure is wearing an oversized, shiny black helmet and a futuristic black armor suit with a high collar and decorative shoulder patches. The mask completely covers the face, featuring geometric designs and a circular mouthpiece in the center. The background is a starry, space-like scene with floating white dots and a teal-colored fog, giving the image a sci-fi atmosphere.

A humorous caricature showing a person dressed as Dark Helmet from the movie Spaceballs. The character still wears the iconic large black helmet and black futuristic armor, but instead of a mask, the person's own face is visible, wearing large glasses and sporting a light beard. The person's expression is playful and slightly surprised, giving a comic twist to the intimidating villain. The background is a starry night sky with a misty, teal hue, reminiscent of outer space.

Web devs and designers trying to replicate Apple’s new Liquid Glass UI in the browser:

Stop! ✋

Use proper native HTML elements with default styling and you’ll get the new look for free on Apple devices.

Plus native-looking UI on Android and Windows too.

Liquid Glass experiments in the browser already popping up. This one uses SVG filters, and I’m quite impressed. That said, trying to replicate that style on the content layer will be counterproductive. Keep it distinct, so both can shine. github.com/lucasromerod...
