So I found out 2 days ago from a publishing expert person that I hired a bit ago that you can just?? Get a proof of your book??? And she made me a mockup cover so I could???? And now amazon is delivering my book today????? Will keep you posted when it arrives and I inevitably die of excitement.

Woke up at 6am with INFINITE ENERGY for NO REASON! I'm so excited about this book thing (might be about 5 months until its released, so don't get hyped up just yet). It even gave me the motivation to work on the sequel to my book again! So happy!!!

Following a week of The Depression (feat. anxiety attacks), I was finally able to do some writing without my brain shutting down and forcing me to do nothing/crawl back into bed, and I'm so so relieved that I seem to be coming out of a low without it dipping into Dangerous Levels of Low first.

Having like 15 mental health conditions/neurodivergences is wild bc you'll be in bed bc the Depression is happening but sitting up after 5 seconds bc ADHD and then flopping back down bc general exhaustion then jolting up bc anxiety like some kind of yoyo but with added existential angst

Me, writing a book: Ugh it's so difficult to finish a page each day
Me, writing my mum a birthday card: It's been a week and I haven't decided on traditional "Dear Mum" or funny "Hi Mum!" or adorable "To The Best Mum Ever" or-

Guys it's like almost 2 hours after my bedtime (pls ignore the fact that I'm 24 years old and technically don't have a bedtime anymore) lmao I'm such a rulebreaker. Next I'm gonna have cereal for lunch and eat skittles without separating out the colours first!!!

Reminder in these bleak times that writing is important, even if it feels silly to be writing fantasy whilst actual wars are happening. Your words are powerful. They can provide comfort and warmth, they can promote anger and change, or they can just sit with people through the hard times.

Got a bit emotional today bc I was thinking about how lucky I am to have parents who are so so supportive of me. I have AuDHD, I'm LGBTQ+, and I couldn't work for years due to mental health, but their support never wavered. Couldn't think of better people to dedicate my first book to. Love u guys <3
