Adding to this, why can't I set a rule to only keep the two latest promotional emails from a source? Like honestly, I don't mind getting updates from certain stores if they didn't flood my inbox, but I don't need a tonne of updates on vinyls I'm not buying stacking up and requiring my attention.

The problem is treating art as content is awful, look at Netflix. They commodify art instead of focusing on stories worth telling. And while Amazon may have a few great shows, they’re no stranger to commodification. And that’s exactly what they wanted to do with Bond.

I feel like the Email frontend is so overdue for innovation. Why can't I sort my inbox by sender (broadly, so every email for an account of mine is under one group), why can't it automatically archive my invoices, group my shipping notifications?

I know I’m not the best programmer ever, so every time I have to do a bit of technical design, I’m paralyzed by the potential future issues and spaghetti I’ll have to deal with, but recently just saying fuck it we ball and refactoring as needed has been working out.

100% agree, and even that migration can cause issues for those smaller communities like we saw during COVID. Saw a great video about the mass gentrification caused by American tech workers moving to Mexico, and displacing the locals. Very scary and difficult situation all around.

Question becomes where in the US is viable for remote work with reasonable cost of living and is somewhere people want to live?

I think studios are going to have to accept work from home more. Not in the industry (working on it) but I understand there are genuine concerns with it. However, we HAVE seen successful games launched by remote teams.
