It's a KWin script called KZones. It's very cool, it lets you define ways of tiling the screen and dynamically switch between them.
I've also been playing around with Krohnkite (think i3/sway but for KDE) and Karousel (scrollable tiling specifically for ultrawide monitors) lately, also very cool.

apple clearly has a lot of money to throw into these presentations, but dedicates none of it to helping their speakers not be as stiff as physically possible

i'm afraid i don't know anything about the nintendo wifi connector and wouldn't have time to look into something like that for at least a few months. good luck getting it working though!

from a legal perspective, compiled machine code is still protected under copyright, so for something to be truly considered "clean room" (i.e. defensible against copyright infringement allegations), the people writing the code cannot be the same people who looked at the disassembly

i like forums, but admittedly the way they're done feels quite archaic nowadays (even when you're not using phpbb for nostalgia). i have ideas for something that might be better but i haven't gotten around to executing them yet. so i guess for now the answer has to be, there's a discord server.

y'know it's something i've been trying to figure out for a while. the conventional answer these days would be a discord server (and admittedly i do have one for patrons/members) but imo discord is the wrong platform for anything other than chatting with friends.

So... how exactly did they port Sonic Unleashed to PC??
do you want an explanation of unleashedrecomp that's actually true and doesn't greatly exaggerate what can be done with these tools but also understands the actual complexity of the porting process? youtu.be/lMGu6Ng_3yA :D
