If #trump disappeared tomorrow, I wonder how many people would kick back and relax, believing that the terror had been defeated. Even now, I don't think some people have internalized that Trump is just a particularly visible symptom of a chronic societal disease.

This post hinges on the assumption that the Democratic Party is interested in actually getting rid of a fascist regime, which by all measures and historical actions in the past decade, they have very little interest in actually doing anything about.

Walking inside I was greeted by #volunteers sorting and folding clothing and pointed towards a small room brimming with green crates, clothing racks, and shelves full of #fashion accessories. There was no clerk or security, just an open and inviting space proudly saying "pay what you want".

Their new location is at #CherryStreetVillage, where they plan to provide weekly access to their clothing. The space is quaint and unassuming, but home to a diverse interfaith coalition of organizations dedicated to "peace, #justice, celebration, #culture, and community".

Today I visited the Fashion 4 Reparations soft launch opening of their new brick-and-mortar location, the latest development in their 5 year old organization's mission to provide #mutualaid to the residents of #Seattle and surrounding communities by providing zero-barrier access to clothing.

I low key hate how #Bluesky handles threading and the character limit in here feels so restrictive to actually writing anything but on the plus side, I’m not giving #Meta or #X my money to help fuel their #technofascist empire wet dreams, so… you win some you lose some.

Once inside the park, the band played once again to a crowd of activists, community members, and vendors gathered inside. I had the opportunity to meet some very interesting mix of artists, activists, and small business owners all gathered to celebrate #transpride and #visibility in a unique way.

Despite blocking traffic, the crowd was universally supported by enthusiastic neighborhood onlookers, waving and cheering from their windows as horns honked in support as they passed. While the crowd chanted protest chants supporting a myriad of serious topics, the feeling of trans joy was tangible.

Unfortunately, not everyone was as comfortable with the possible exposure that this type of visibility could produce. Many made attempts to obscure their faces, and I was asked by #organizers to block out the faces of the march attendees. Still - the vibe was nothing short of jubilant and uplifting

The march walked to music by #ChappelRoan and others, played by the local queer band "AGAB" or "Assigned Gay at Band", led by local artist Holly Blue. Asking about photos, she asked that her face not be blurred, saying "I am here choosing to be visible", and together with #AGAB, they spread joy.

Attended the inspiring #transpride march last weekend reclaiming pride from corporations with a unpermitted and grassroots protest from #VolunteerPark to #CutieFest in Cal Anderson. Before marching, one activist declared in a rousing speech, "We didn't have Martha throw that brick for nothing!"

#Seattle has Nazis becoming more visible and emboldened by the day

This whole story immediately threw up major question marks in my mind, from the murder charges to a man who didn't fire a gun, to the blind faith in untrained volunteer "peacekeeper's" ability to determine a threat from a legally protected right, it all just seemed a bit off in the official story.

This company is planning on having this car drive across America on a tour to spread it's #racist message and build a nationally visible cultural and business network of #whitesupremacists.

Soon, the crowd on the upper side began to #disperse. At one point I asked someone, "What do you think will happen if they continue this response? Will these protests get worse?" Sonny, a self described "reluctant #democrat" reponded: "It's not going to get worse, it's just going to get bigger."

Having successfully annoyed the cops with my bright camera flashes and the antics of activists, police stormed the balcony we had congregated on as #photographers, pushing us into the #WellsFargo building which was lined with more cops, all slowly pushing us further and further from the main group.

Having been seperated into the smaller of the two groups, I was now in a group a third of the size of the main protest scene below. Several people were arrested and loaded into the back of vans to go for processing. The #police line tried to look tough, but they were from #Bellevue Police Department
