For everyone that read that story post I made. You probably ran into this, and assume the worst.

No, this post is NOT about self-harm. I just used two OBIVOUSLY GAG gun-in-mouth images, all too common on old twitter, that @moderation.bsky.app got too sensitive about.

I'm fine, but come one man...

Someone else needs to be in charge of the music. Again, not much of a Pokemon fan, but even through the like of Smash Bros., I know that series has way more bangers than that one song.

I think it almost gave me a headache... But it's over. Hope I don't see Pikachu in my nightmares from this![13/13]

To say I felt relief was an understatement. Never been happier to approach total silence once the speak stopped playing and the customers left. However, I could still, mentally, hear the song as I close up...

I still classified it as a banger, but I don't E V E R want to hear it again. [12/13]

What also made it worse is that today, of all days, is when I forgot my phone charger, and my phone shows it's age.

So I had to save battery, but i couldn't distract myself from that song playing that long... Felt like I was going nuts! Until 4pm hit, and it finally stopped. [11/?]

No matter how hard I try to keep my compsure, some customers could see through it. Some even cracks jokes that I went along with.

One customer even said "Playing that same song will drive someone crazy!" I repiled, " I'm someone!". Thankfully, they had a dark sense of humor as I do.[11/?]

From the start of that marathon, I thought to myself that the song still held up. That it was still an banger...

But when I was deep into the six hour run... Haha.. Well, physically, I felt like I held it together. Mentally... I. Felt. Like. I. Held. It. Together. Like no one ever-- DAMN IT![10/?]

The. Same. Song. I may sound like I'm exaggerating here, but I was stationed right next to one of the Zoo's speakers.

That theme played at the left side of me for that long, and from the first hour alone, I think it played 35-40 times since it was a mix of the intro version and full version.[9/?]

You see, I worked a typical eight hour shift. No big deal. However...for maybe two of those hours, a variety of those songs played. And it was nice.

Though...

For some reason...

That. O N E. Person... Though it would be N I C E to play the original anime theme... FOR SIX HOURS STRAIGHT!!! [8/?]

They played the opening themes, WAY more than video game music, at that... Way...way...way... way... W A Y...more. Nothing more than the original theme.

And the original theme's a banger! Who doesn't love it...?! It's catchy, engaging... I don't think I E V E R want to hear this theme again...[7/?]

And hey! They played intro songs from the show! From the original to the newest!

Again, it was great!Though, due to maybe a classic die-hard or possibly some parent of a classic Pokemon fan who didn't give enough of a shit... This is where the definition of insanity reared it's ugly head.[6/?]

There are a few songs from the video game that played. I'm not a big Pokemon fan -- to at all -- but I did recognize the original battle theme, Viridain City, Team Skull and a few others... (Could have used more Route 10 and Lavender town up in here, but I'm just a humble food service worker.) [5/?]

It was great! The customers were having at great time. Some even came to the Zoo in cosplay. (I saw a MIsty, Team Rocket Grunt, and Magikarp pass by me.) And besides maybe one unrelated idiot out of the day, everyone was pretty cool.

The zoo even had classic music playing in the speakers.[4/?]

So today at work, there was a nice, F-F-FUNNNNNNN Pokemon Go event at the Zoo. And it was great!

Customers were able to come in, enjoy increased Pokemon Go activity within zoo grounds, and enjoy whatever pleasures are available normally... [3/?}

This is a story about how my normal shift at work, was gifted with a fun Pokemon-related event, that almost drove me insane! So, please...
