10k is failure to launch?! My debut came out in January with a small press (wasn't commercial enough for big 5), has sold 900 copies in 10 months, and was longlisted for a national award. I don't consider it a failure to launch. 10k sales would be great.

Learn Palestinian embroidery online with writer Fatima Shaat, whom I mentored through We Are Not Numbers. The donation for the classes goes to her family in Gaza who are all still living in a tent, as their home is destroyed. It will be a small class of up to 8 people, and there are 7 spots left.

My mentee Fatima just evacuated from Gaza on a scholarship and is trying to raise money to support her family back home through two one-hour tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) classes next weekend. Information on how to sign up is at the end of her video.

Thanks but I don't have the budget for that! The press markets and I'll do the basics. We also plan to have a way for animal protection organizations to use it as a fundraiser. Right now I'm still focused on outreach for my novel RING that came out in January. No publicist budget for that either 🙂
