People want to complain about superhero films. I'd like to file a complaint against music biopics.

Yes I know Frankenstein got a limited theatrical release but that was for award purposes. I would've had to go out of my way to see it as well.

This week's double feature:

Frankenstein (2025) and Spinal Tap II: The End Continues (2025)

Kind of lame that Netflix releases Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein a week after Halloween but whatever.

This was only the 6th time Eddie Kingston and Samoa Joe were in the ring together and the last time they wrestled each other was 10 years ago in 2015 in a 3 way elimination match on an AAW event which was won by Josh Alexander.

Listen as much I'm intrigued by the team of El Desperado & 'The Big Dog' Shuji Ishikawa, I cannot in good conscious watch New Japan Pro Wrestling World Tag League 2025.

I recommend the show The Lowdown. It is about Ethan Hawke playing an investigative journalist in Oklahoma. It has a really good cast. It's only 8 episodes and the finale airs tomorrow night on FX, the next day on Hulu. It's from the creator of Reservation Dogs.

Leon Slater vs. Je'Von Evans was like putting together the game winning drive, only to fumble the ball at the 1 yard line. Terrible finish.

Holy hell, Gabe Kidd vs. Shingo Takagi rocked. A war.

I liked the pacing of Yota Tsuji vs. David Finlay. A pretty good match, and I like Tsuji using Ultimo Guerrero's Guerrero Special to set up the Gene Blaster for the finish.

I like Walker Stewart's line on English commentary: "How did production get Eita's music?"

How did they know he was going to do a run-in after Hiromu vs. Ishimori and had his music cued up ready to go? It's just one of those things in pro wrestling you don't question, but still funny.

Despite the fact at Hiromu Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori wrestled each other 10 times prior to today's match at Kobe World Hall, I liked this GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship match. Ishimori actually went deep into his bag of tricks. He used the 450 Splash and attempted the Superstar Elbow.

Let's fucking go! Blocked!

Well, took them a few weeks but they got there, Ace Austin to Bang Bang Gang was telegraphed.

Go see One Battle After Another (2025) when you get the chance. I watched it last night.

The only real clunker on #AEWAllOut was Eddie Kingston vs. Big Bill. The main event, Hangman Adam Page vs. Kyle Fletcher was excellent, and a must-see match. MJF vs. Briscoe, Dorada vs. Okada vs. Takeshita, and Allin vs. Moxley also worth watching. Your mileage may vary on the 4 team ladder match.

So glad that Stephanie McMahon, the inventor of women's wrestling is getting her just due.

About time they finally honor her contributions to pro wrestling.
