Finally a good weekend across all sports for me. All three of my teams, #ITFC, #Packers and #Canucks winning. Long may it continue 🙂

All for #nonleague clubs now using ticketing sites for pre-sale & ease of getting in but it bugs me when they increase the price you pay on the gate. Maybe you had plans that changed, just fancy a local game or mates decide to go for a few beers & footie that morning, why should you pay more?

Having a long term injury sucks. So many games & weekends away planned but not been able to get to any so far this season. Looks likely to drag on into 2026 too. Never plan too far ahead! The sad thing is I've now got used to not going & think that's only going to get worse the longer this goes on.

Feeling slightly nervous about the #ITFC game today. My teams in all sports never all win over a weekend, one (or more!) usually let me down. This weekend the #Brewers, on an unbelievable winning run, won twice, the #Packers (pre-season) & #Hawthorn in the #AFL both won. Ipswich it's over to you. 🤞

Another blank weekend for me footie wise as I continue to recover from the ankle injury. Hoping to be back on #nonleague and #womensfootball reporting duty in 2-3 weeks. Pencilled in a couple of days break in Dorset first weekend in September to take in the Portland United v Brockenhurst match. 👍

One of the greatest UEFA Cup runs took place in 1980/81, where Ipswich Town went on an explosive campaign to glory.

They would win the final 5-4 on aggregate, with John Wark scoring a record 14 goals in the competition that season.

Just been up my local supermarket and wondered when the cash back option disappeared? Was this another consequence of Covid and the rise of contactless payments?

What have I just watched in the #AFL? St Kilda, 46 points behind going into the 4th quarter, come back and win it with the last kick of the game! Wow! 👏👏👏

Watching the Tour stage this afternoon and amazed just how depressing the ad breaks are. A constant flow of charities pleading for funds, bloody cremation ads and just how many new gold coins are they going to mint? Seems like a new one every week!
