It can make you scared to leave the house or connect w anyone

It’s not because standing up for me is inherently scary, it’s a lot of things, often empowering . It’s because I’ve been traumatized to believe the world itself is incompatible with my self and internal sense of justice

Like a lot of traumas are negative self beliefs manifesting from core wounds (either upon the self or the safety of the self,which directly impacts your self soothing)so it makes sense that not feeling safe because you feel the world is inherently unjust and seeking justice is impossible is Dramatic

It’s especially pronounced if you’re that flavor of neurodivergent that seems to have a real keen eye on justice and feeling like it’s being wronged. It’s another layer of feeling like you’re on some alien planet where no one gets you

Like we talk about injustice in present and past but scarcely as the trauma itself and it Really IS scarring especially when you’re formulating your worldview

I don’t think we talk enough about the impact of injustice wounds on kids bc so many times I’ve found myself not calling something out bc I inherently believe no one is going to stand up for justice w me and that sometimes seeking it in itself is like such a mountain to overcome
