In moments like this, with Taehyung in his arms and the thump of their hearts beating as one in the quiet of their home, Yoongi thinks dancing may just be one of his favourite things.

and nuzzle his nose into the base of his neck, humming contentedly. It's already late into the night, but they're in no rush, not even to get to bed; in fact, they could probably do this until sunrise.

Taehyung overtakes the last few inches between them as he presses their lips together, tame but with purpose and so full of love it makes Yoongi's heart swell in his chest. As he breaks the kiss, he leans in to the side to rest his cheek on Yoongi's shoulder

He starts to move them back and forth gently, the beat of the song obscure and too soft to really dance to, but perfect for just holding one another and swaying to the gentle melodies of the trumpet and piano.

When Taehyung faces him again, they share a small laugh between the two of them.

"Payback or something," Yoongi says, readjusting the positioning of their hands and bringing Taehyung in by the waist, their chests pressing against each other and their noses close enough to touch.

Yoongi doesn't answer, pushing away from the cabinet and moving them towards the empty space between the coffee table and the TV. He locks eyes with Taehyung for the beat of a second and then guides him into a spin, just as Taehyung had done to him earlier in the night.

"...What are you doing?" Taehyung asks, a skeptical yet playful lilt to his voice as he changes course and walks over to Yoongi, taking the offered hand in his own.

"Oh, some jazz to end the night with? This is nice. Shower is all yours."

He starts to make his way over to the couch but Yoongi holds out his hand, gesturing for Taehyung to come over while the other just stares at it for a moment.

It's only a minute or so before the sounds from the washroom cease and Taehyung wanders back out into the living room, clad in an oversized t-shirt and a pair of cotton pajama shorts, looking particularly soft with tousled hair and cheeks still pink from the heat of the water.

He removes the record from its casing and sets it in place, shifting the stylus over to rest on the vinyl, letting the soft music fill the room, before leaning against the table the record player sits on, looking over the vinyl's sleeve to occupy himself for the time being.

He groans at the protest in his legs as he pushes himself up, walking over and rifling through their collection of vinyls. He settles on a shared favourite, a compilation of slow jazz that they often play as background music for dinner or to unwind after a stressful day.

He nearly falls asleep to the faint sound of the water running, not realising it had stopped until the whir of the hair dryer begins.

His eyes crack open and he stares up at the ceiling for a moment, before his head leans to the side and his sights land on their record player.
