Its almost as if reality itself has been replaced with an alternate universe. This isn't even up is down and left is right. It's an exercise in denying observable truths that could make satire blush.

I seriously don't understand how it is that even the scandal that has happened is equated with the above. Its nowhere near as bad and yes, it is terrible, evil and so much more.

I find it horribly dismaying and confusing because i'm on the square that it was all manufactured and i do believe that our politicians do know this too, yet we are saddled to the USA's drive to war in some way or the other and that sucks because the threat of Reform is hideous. It's exhausting.

Fair comment, something bothers me about today's RW (of all flavours). Its this warped drive to militarism, as i understand it, the right used to be big-style anti-war and this would be the deal breaker for them too, but yet, Farage too has an association with the MEF (Middle East Forum).

Then there is how that affects ourselves, because of the mistakes and scandals this misplaced trust produces, it harms our perceptions of them and we can definitely see it, it's widespread. Because of several years of meltdown, its began to fester, so its also understandable that resent exists.

See, i'm neutral about this...I think the democratic crisis is about trust, there's the vetting on part of governments, either tory or labour and that they place too much trust in their procedures, the "good chap" theory of governance is probably the mindset. It left them weak against mavericks.

It is imperative that you cease with your fear of Trump and align with better politics for the sake of us all. People, not party.

This is bad enough without making claims of riches when we know we've been fleeced, start thinking about your words. Clinging on may make this worse or not, you'll have to deal with that. Your going to have to start listening to your critics and make concessions too and no, not to the right.

One can hope that they may be able to do something like that, should it happen. It would certainly alter discourse and potentially cool down the debate. I'm unsure what the LibDems are really doing lately, it's like radio silence. Its all so messy.

Jesus H Christ, i saw this making it's rounds last night, it's the most insideous piece of potential victim blaming that i've seen in a very long time, morally repugnant thing for anyone to even think, let alone say, these people are damaged goods.

The human aspect of it all, is that of denial and to a degree it was a predictable response, but the harm is done there. "sick and tired of being sick and tired" is one of those hidden parts of this all, unspoken for the sake of peace and quiet. It's rather complex.

Ironically, ignoring such a problem also alienated a substantial number of voters, including myself. Understanding the stakes, i'm prepared to "hold my nose", but don't feel happy about it.

Solving that problem could have been massive, however, groupthink stood in the way, again, an unforced error.

It is, that feels like an attack on political identity as much as it was deceitful, completely unforced error on the part of Labour's team. Covid changed a lot in terms of how politicking was handled, essentially, they wanted it out of the headlines and opted to play the culture wars game.

Indeed, i suspect that in some places, Labour may have to give way and the other way around to effectively block the right from power, they're half expecting that and some will be resistant to such for the aforementioned factionalism, totally agree. We need a total shift in direction posthaste.
